![]() User-Centered Design process This two-day workshop shows the possibilities of focussing on users/customers during the design process. From collecting user data to the validation phase (early usability testing). All parts end with a joint assignment. > You gain insight into the various user research methods. > You will learn to analyze user data and translate them into work models and personas. > You will built an information architecture that meets the expectations of your users. > You learn to take design decisions based on the research results (evidence-based design) and interface theories (gestalt principles and usability rules). > And we learn you to set up a paper prototype usability test. Type of teaching: Besides the presentation there will be joint training assignments. Duration: Two days (or four mornings/afternoons). Literature: During the course materials will be presented and referred to relevant literature. Data: Date and place depend on interested people. Minimum number of participants is eight. Qualitative Interviewing Interviewing people about their work leads to insights about the structure of their work and decision-making processes. These insights can be directly translated into services and products. > The goal of this workshop is to get the best out of interview techniques such as composing and asking questions, observing and listening. Coaching. Supporting usability decisions, planning a strategy for the design process (project plan), feedback on (existing) designs, introducing new techniques, conversion of research results into designs or communicating design decisions within your organization. Hands-on based on your own project 1. Introduction into the various user research methods. (4 hours) 2. Analyzing research results. Together we create a mental model or a persona. (8 hours) 3.
